TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Before booking Whitemoor Lodge, please take the time to read our Terms and Conditions as a condition of booking. These include important information about the lodge, the surrounding area and our policies.

All guests staying with us must be aged 18 or over.

Accommodation

Guests must be aged 18 or above and the lodge is suitable for a maximum of 2 adults. No infants or children are permitted to stay.

Barbecues

A built in BBQ area is available for guests to use adjacent to the lodge. Guests will need to provide their own briquettes and only use the area provided.

Cancellation Policy

In the event that you are unable to stay with us, we will be able to provide a refund if you give us at least six weeks notice. Otherwise we will refund 50% of the cost of your stay. If we need to cancel your booking for any reason outside our control, we will offer you an alternative stay or a full refund.

Cleaning

The lodge will be thoroughly cleaned for your arrival.

Guests are responsible for leaving the lodge in a tidy manner before you leave, including putting rubbish in the bins and washing up any dirty kitchenware.

Damage

We reserve the right to collect payment from you to cover the cost of any damage caused to the lodge.

Dogs

Well behaved dogs are welcome to stay at the lodge with their equally well behaved owners. Dogs must be kept on a lead in the surrounding areas and when walking through areas where there is livestock.

Fire

Guests are welcome to use the open fire responsibly. Firelighters, kindling, logs and coal are provided on an honesty basis of £10 per night. The fireguard should be kept in place at all times when the fire is lit.

Fishing

Guests are welcome to fish on the reservoir but must provide their own fishing equipment.

The lodge sits on the banks of a reservoir and in summer months the levels can be quite low as the reservoir feeds the Leeds and Liverpool Canal leaving soft mud on the banks. Guests or their dogs must not walk on these areas as they can be very dangerous.

Flies

As Whitemoor Lodge is situated next to open water, there may be flies in warmer months.

Keys

The key code for the door will be provided in your booking confirmation email. An additional key and instructions will be left inside the lodge for guests to lock the lodge securely during their stay and must be left on check-out.

Loss & Theft

Whitemoor Lodge accepts no liability for belongings that are lost or stolen in or outside of the lodge.

Noise

Guests are asked to please keep noise within a respectable level.

Parking

There is a designated parking place on the car park.

Your vehicle is left at your own risk. We accept no responsibility for damage or theft on the grounds.

Please drive slowly when you are on the grounds to maintain the safety of yourself and any wildlife on the grounds.

Payment Policy

At the time of booking we will collect the entire cost of your stay. A full refund will be offered if you cancel at least six weeks prior otherwise we will refund 50%.

Safety

Guests are responsible for their own safety whilst staying in Whitemoor Lodge.

Smoking

We operate a strict no smoking policy inside the lodge.

Guests are permitted to smoke outside the lodge and are asked to please dispose of your cigarettes responsibly and do not throw cigarettes into the reservoir.

Swimming

Swimming in the reservoir is not permitted.

Wheelchair access

There is no wheelchair access and the lodge is unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues or difficulty walking up and down stairs.

Wildlife

Guests are asked to respect the surrounding area which is home to various wildlife and livestock and to keep all gates closed.

If guests are found to be in breach of any of these conditions during your stay we reserve the right to ask you to leave with no refunds given.
